Women of Aviation Worldwide Week – March 3-7, 2025

The team at Cleveland Wheel and Brake Systems was excited to celebrate the contributions of women in aviation during Women of Aviation Week (March 3-7).  We’d like to thank the Institute for Women of Aviation for their efforts to encourage young women to explore careers in aviation.

So many inspiring stories:

Bessie Coleman: First black woman to earn a pilot’s license.
Eileen Collins: First female space shuttle pilot.
Amelia Earhart: First woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
Emily Howell Warner: First female pilot of a major US commercial passenger airline.
Geraldine Mock: First woman to fly solo around the world.
Harriet Quimby: First woman to earn a pilot’s license in the United States.
Valentina Tereshkova: First woman to fly in space.
Jackie Cochran: First woman to break the sound barrier.

To those who have led the way and continue to encourage, your hard work, contributions and inspiration have inspired so many!
