The Tubewell Driven brake is generally used in conjunction with a multi-rotor carbon or steel heat stack. It is a piston-actuated, hydraulically operated braking device mounted to the main wheel assemblies and is used for stopping the aircraft.
Each Multi Rotor (Tubewell Driven) brake assembly is composed of one brake cylinder, one pressure-plate assembly with replaceable wear pads, two or more rotating discs (rotors), one or more stationary discs (stators) with replaceable wear pads, one torque-tube assembly with replaceable wear pads, along with necessary nuts, washers, and bolts.
